Tragic balance, 16 dead and 31 missing after the collapse of the dam in Ukraine

Ukrainian authorities said 16 people were killed and 31 missing in floods caused by the collapse of a Russian-controlled dam, which Kiev and Moscow blame each other for.

"16 people died: 14 in the Kherson region and 2 in the Mykolaiv region. 31 people are still missing,” Ukraine's interior ministry said, after Russia reported 29 deaths in areas it controls.

A few days ago the dam was blown up as a result of the Russian bombings, while the latter did not accept the authorship of the attack, accusing Ukraine.
