"Let's do everything to incite the revolt", Berisha: Rama does not leave with a vote, only with civil disobedience

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has stated today that Prime Minister Edi Rama does not leave with a vote, but only with civil disobedience.

Berisha, present at the discussions on the 2024 budget with his supporters and specialists, called for revolts and civil disobedience.

According to him, the battle has started in the Parliament and what the democratic deputies are doing, said Berisha, is a battle against the coup d'état.

"You said it well that we should protest. And what we are doing in the parliament, I ask for your understanding and that of all Albanians. It is a battle against the coup d'état. In absolute terms, Edi Rama has committed a coup within the state.

Therefore, it is our greatest obligation as intellectuals, that in our nature we must be invincible advocates of the public interest, we must do everything to stand up against this regime, to incite revolt everywhere, to incite civil disobedience everywhere," he said among other things. Sali Berisha.

"The most dramatic aspect of this mega-corruption, this mega-theft, lies in impunity. Edi Rama who also signs the permit to build a house, two floors or three floors, Edi Rama has established a total control over justice and uses it only against certain persons among them, from whom he will be freed.

And what is more serious, that he tries publicly to discharge all the responsibility.

This is the man who does not bear any kind of responsibility.

We said, the use of land for construction. One of the people who violated the law in the most fundamental way is himself.

That property of 5 thousand meters was taken in violation of the law. With documents.

But for him, the law does not exist, the law is for others, for himself he has other powers.

Without a doubt, your extremely valuable suggestions will be and become essential parts of our alternative in all areas, in infrastructure, agriculture, energy, sports.

You forgot to say, the only fact that gave success to the team is that they could not conquer it with Olsi Rama. That if he would conquer the federation with Olsi Rama, we would not have football, but narco-football.

You said it well that we should protest. And what we are doing in the parliament, I ask for your understanding and that of all Albanians. It is a battle against the coup d'état. In absolute terms, Edi Rama has committed a coup within the state.

Today, for the first time in 32 years, we have a monist government of a single party.

Then we have a justice established all under the control of Edi Rama.

And now, what was left was a parliamentary group with constitutional but important powers. The constitutional right of deputies to create parliamentary committees, in today's conditions, is the only way for citizens to exercise their sovereignty.

The internal sovereignty of a country is the power of a people to control the power of the government. This is not practiced today in any form.

You try, get 200 signatures for the referendum. No referendum can be held because there is complete control over the Constitutional Court.

The Constitution gives parliamentarians the right to veto. When they become a quarter, they can control the government. And this he blocks.

There is nothing more important than where injustice arises, to protest.

Today we are in a dictatorship. Dictatorship is nothing but concentration of all powers in one hand. Never has there been such an extreme concentration in one hand of power.

That's why Hemingway says it somewhere, the writer's job is to fight with a pen and a rifle. I'm not saying fight with rifles. But it is fought with civil disobedience, this is the only way.

Civil disobedience has been proven to be the most successful way to overthrow dictatorships.

Edi Rama does not leave with a vote, Edi Rama leaves only with civil disobedience.

Therefore, it is our greatest obligation as intellectuals, that in our nature we must be invincible advocates of the public interest, we must do everything to stand up against this regime, to incite revolt everywhere, to incite civil disobedience everywhere.

Because we will meet again for the budget of 2025. This is a flower of how it will be back.

Therefore, I thank you very much for your very useful interventions and I guarantee you that they will be essential elements of the program that you will design and are the best answer to the problems that every sector faces.

So I invite you to do everything where we are, to incite revolt, to incite civil disobedience.

Only revolt and civil disobedience are the condition of all the conditions to address the extremely important problems that you raised in this meeting", said Berisha.
