Analyst Agim Baçi, invited to the studio of the show "Open" on News24, spoke about the statements of the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, and the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Baçi quoted the statement of Beler, who said that "I am protecting the Greek lands", calling it worrying, also for the lack of reaction from the Albanian opposition.
Regarding Mitostakis's statements, the analyst said that for Greece this is not a democratic issue, but a nationalist issue and that this is worrying.
"I am concerned about the nationalist spirit that Greece has for Beleri. It is not a question of democracy, but of a note of nationalism. Beleri ran as an Albanian for the local elections and not as a Greek citizen. What worries me is this nationalist spirit and why this irritating and purposeful spirit. "Why has the opposition kept silent about Beler's extreme statements, where the latter said that 'I am protecting the Greek lands'", said Baçi.
