The US will supply Ukraine with long-range missiles
From Canada, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for helping in the war against Russia, saying it had helped save thousands of lives while insisting the war will end with Ukraine's victory.
Volodymyr Zelensky: This Russian aggression must end with our victory. Moscow must be lost once and for all.
The $650 million grant over three years also includes 50 armored vehicles and medical evacuation vehicles.
Justin Trudeau: We are making a long-term, multi-year commitment that provides predictable and sustainable support to Ukraine.
While in Canada, news came from Washington that US President Joe Biden decided to send a limited number of ATACMC (attack-coms) long-range missiles to Ukraine.
Ukraine has repeatedly asked the Biden administration for long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems to help strike supply lines, air bases and rail networks.
American media write that the weapons will be sent in the following weeks and reach up to 300 kilometers. After the Biden-Zelensky talks, Washington announced another $325 million in military aid including artillery and ammunition to Ukraine while America's Abrams tanks will be delivered to Kiev next week.
