Interior Minister Taulant Balla has reacted to the situation with the fire which has engulfed a large area in Patos.
Balla says that efforts are being made to extinguish the flames and protect residential areas.
"We are following the situation in the Municipality of Patos, the village of Margelliç, where the fire is being fought, which has reached extremely large proportions. The firefighting forces of Patos, Roskovec, Fier, the Albpetrol company are working in several directions to protect residential areas, while forces have also been sent from Lushnja, Vlora and Berati.
The State Police has sent many FNSH officers, while they have arrested the suspected author of this arson" - writes Balla.
