◾The Prime Minister of Great Britain, Boris Johnson, will speak today in the Ukrainian parliament and describe their resistance to the Russian invasion as the country's best moment.
He will also give details of an additional £300 million in military aid from the UK to Ukraine, including electronic warfare equipment.
◾The UN and Red Cross hope for more civilian evacuations from the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol on Tuesday after more than 100 people were rescued earlier.
◾Ukrainian defenders of the plant say Russian troops are using warplanes, tanks and missiles to strike the country.
◾The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has accused the Russian Foreign Minister of "blames the Jewish people for Nazi crimes".
◾Zelensky says a 14-year-old boy was killed during Monday's rocket attack on Odesa by the Russian military.

USA: Russia will try to annex the eastern regions of Ukraine
A senior US official has warned that Russia is preparing to hold independence votes in the occupied territory of eastern Ukraine.
"According to the latest reports, we believe that Russia will try to annex the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic into Russia," said Michael Carpenter, the US ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
"Reports say Russia plans to hold referendum on membership sometime in mid-May."
"Pseudo referendums" are something that President Zelensky has warned about in the past.
Earlier this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he was recognizing the independence of the two separatist regions.
