Air strike on the Lviv military base near the Polish border
Lviv, an area in western Ukraine that was previously thought to be safe and where refugees were fleeing, has been hit by a Russian airstrike. The Yavoriv military training base, near the Polish border, was hit by eight rockets on Sunday, officials said.
Military spokesman Anton Mironovich said there were no reports of casualties so far, according to Interfax Ukraine, a local news agency.
This attack in this area is close to Poland and potentially a warning to NATO, which often uses the base as a training site.
