A spokesman for the Ukrainian president, Zelensky, has confirmed that the country is prepared to hold ceasefire and peace talks with Russia immediately.
He said Russian and Ukrainian officials are currently discussing a time and place for where and when the talks will take place.
We recall that numerous Russian forces are located very close to Kiev, with Ukrainian forces who have pledged to defend their country. On the other hand, the West has retaliated with sanctions against Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov.
The EU and Great Britain have frozen their assets, while the US, in addition to freezing assets, also warned of a travel ban for them. Thus, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens have left the country and fled to neighboring countries, while men between the ages of 18 and 60 have been recruited as soldiers to defend their country.
