The US declares that it has reached out to help Ukraine to defend itself and not to kill Russian generals
The US has provided intelligence assistance to Ukrainian forces who have targeted and killed Russian generals in Ukraine. This is according to a report published by the American newspaper "New York Times", which quotes senior officials.
Ukrainian officials claim 12 senior Russian generals have been killed in the war, as low morale among Russian troops is thought to have forced senior officers closer to the front line. They have not specified how much in these attacks they were helped by American intelligence.
A White House spokesman criticized the New York Times story, saying its headline was "bouncer”And“irresponsible".
National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson added that the US provides Ukraine with battlefield assistance through its intelligence to “protect yourself" and without "intent to kill Russian generals".
