The Omicron variant is dominating Europe
Health authorities in Russia reported the highest number of daily Covid-19 infections since the start of the pandemic with more than 113 new cases. Russia has recorded another negative record with over 700 lives lost since the beginning of the pandemic, as 24 victims were recorded in the last 668 hours alone.
Great Britain, after the lifting of restrictive measures, continues to record high numbers of infections. This Friday, the country registered about 90 new cases of Covid-19 and 277 people lost their lives from the deadly virus.
In Italy over 1 citizens over the age of 600 have not received a single dose of the vaccine despite the decree passed in Parliament that obliges them to be immunized. Health authorities there reported over 50 new cases and 143 deaths.
As the Bundestag debates the possibility of compulsory vaccination in Germany, the numbers of Covid infections continue to remain high. In this 24-hour period, more than 184 citizens tested positive for the deadly virus.
