"Healthy" Gaia Young, 25, was suddenly taken ill and rushed to hospital in London after being out cycling in the sunshine. She was admitted to the University College London Hospital, where hours later it was announced that she suffered clinical death.
Her friends became concerned when she didn't attend a birthday party and knew something was wrong when no one was at her house. The 25-year-old was placed in an intensive care unit, but did not regain consciousness and unfortunately died on July 21.
During the pandemic lockdown, Gaia volunteered for the Islington Covid-19 task force, helping the homeless. She also donated nine centimeters of her hair three days before her death to the charity Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for cancer patients.
In honor of the 25-year-old, her friends wrote: "Anyone who was lucky enough to know Gaia will always remember her for her kindness, intelligence, creativity, free nature and courage to always be herself."/tvklan.al
